# Promotion bar

## Open Promotion bar settings.

1. From your Shopify admin, go to **Online Store** > **Themes**.
2. Find the theme that you want to edit and click **Customize**.
3. In the left-hand toolbar, click **Theme settings.**
4. Click the **Promotion in the header**.

### A. GENERAL SETTINGS:

* **Enable:** check or uncheck to show or hide the **Promotion bar.**
* **Text color:** pick a color you want to display for the text of the Promotion bar.
* **Use background color:** check or uncheck to show background color.
* **Background color:** pick a color you want to display for the background.

Note: You should check to show the use of background color above before you pick the color for the background.

* **Background image:** pick or upload your image to display it as a background image.
* **Wide display:** check or uncheck to show Promotion bar in the wide box.

### B. INFORMATION:

* **Content:** add the contents you want to show in the Promotion bar.
* **The link for the content:** add the URL of the link you want to show in the Promotion bar.
* **Open link in new tab:** check or uncheck to open link in the new tab.

### C. BUTTON**:**

* **Enable:** check or uncheck to show or hide Button.
* **Text:** add the text you want to show in the Button.
* **The link for the button:** add the URL of the link you want to show in the Button.
* **Open link in new tab:** check or uncheck to open link in the new tab.
